Weaving a shakuhachi Komuso monk Tengai "basket hat"

(Entry date Dec. '11 - I'm dating this entry around the exact time I originally wove this shakuhachi Komuso tengai "basket hat". However, I grabbed my images from the ESS shakuhachi forum and am posting them here on my website for the first time in 2024)

This tengai shakuhachi Komuso monk "basket hat" was the first thing I had ever woven and it was quite a difficult thing to have begun with! I actually sold this tengai for charity back in 2020, though I sometimes miss it. You can read all about the Komuso on my page about them here. Maybe one day I'll weave another Komuso tengai for myself...
